Mount Hood resorts hosted 1,342,405 visits from skiers and snowboarders and other recreators in 2012-13, nearly 150,000 more than the 10-year average.

Hayley Dukatz and Mattux made it to 10,000 feet for a nice long run down Mount Hood on Friday.

Hayley Dukatz hiked to 10,000 feet with her rather large wolf pup Mattux. Skiers and snowboarders were ripping it all over Palmer Snowfield under clear blue skies. There isn't a whole lot of snow on Mount Hood yet, but the ski and snowboard season has officially begun, and it is a lively scene to say the least. Check out our slide show below.

As of November 1, 2013, Washington Sno-Park permits will no longer be accepted in Oregon, and vice versa. If you plan on shredding both Crystal and Hood this winter, you will need two windshield stickers.
