A major storm is hitting Mount Hood today, dumping snow and kicking up some serious wind.

The wind is howling on Mount Hood today, and there is a foot of fresh snow at 6,000 feet. Timberline is open, but only the beginner chair Bruno's is running, with a few terrain park features set up there.

Another six inches is expected to fall today.

The wind is still blowing on Mount Hood today, and there is another four inches of fresh snow at 6,000 feet. Govy has a nice white blanket of snow. Timberline is operating Pucci and Bruno's today, but it will probably be too windy for Palmer.

This is what Timberline Lodge looked like Sunday afternoon.

It's still snowing and blowing on Mount Hood this morning, but it could turn to rain as a large storm approaches from the coast. Timberline picked up 18 inches of snow during the most recent storm cycle, and Meadows got more than a foot. Timberline plans to start operating seven days a week starting this coming Friday, November 22.
